Industrial chimneys and who operates them
Sites matched to a project marked do not contact in the Jeremias order list. They are taken off the Sites tab, the map and the downloaded list, and their cards can't be used: no status, notes, lead details or calls. Hover over the banner to see the project. Managers can click Not this site when a match is wrong.
Every site you have written a note on, or that you own as a lead, newest note first.
Finds the large facilities that need big chimneys, even where nobody has mapped a chimney yet. Sources: the EEA Industrial Reporting database (EU, UK, Norway, Switzerland and the Balkans: operator, address, activity, combustion plants in MW, reported stack height, NOx) and the WRI list of thermal power plants of 20 MW and more (all of Europe, including Türkiye and Ukraine). A facility within 500 m of an existing card is added to that card; the rest become new cards. Farms, landfills, waste-water plants and quarries are left out.
Pulls every mapped chimney in a country or state, groups chimneys that stand on the same site, and takes the operator, address, phone and website from the site's outline where mappers have added them. Sites you or a researcher have edited are never overwritten. Chimneys come first, then the site outlines in small areas around them, so even a whole country works; it just takes a few minutes.
Upload a CSV or Excel list of facilities with coordinates, for example the EEA Industrial Reporting database, the German PRTR (thru.de) or the Bundesnetzagentur power-plant list. Each row is matched to the nearest site in the country shown on the Sites tab. Empty fields are filled; researched sites are left alone.
Reads the Impressum, contact and locations pages of each operator's website (found on the card, or on Wikidata from the operator's name) and fills in the switchboard where the card has none. A number printed next to the site's town, postcode or name is saved as the site number; otherwise the Impressum's main number is saved as the head-office switchboard. Works on the country shown on the Sites tab, best leads first. Everyone can also do this one card at a time.
Reads the Service Department – Customer Database list in SharePoint and marks every card whose operator is an Avantea customer: same company in the same town (customer, new or lost: win back), or the same company at another site. Only the company name, customer number, town, country and status are copied; contact people stay in SharePoint and the card links to the item there. Run it again whenever the list changes.
Upload the Jeremias Auftragsliste (the Excel file with “Projekt-Nr.”, “Ort”, “Baustellenadresse” and “Info”, .xlsx or .xlsm). Each project is matched to the cards by postcode, street and company name. Cards get a Jeremias project line; projects marked do not contact move their site to the Do not contact tab, where the card can't be used. Uploading a new list replaces the old one.
